Micro-pulverising or micro-lubricating?

Micro-pulverising or MQL,  is a system which supplies a small amount of lubricant in a highly precise way as close to the work operation as possible -  a common feature of metalworking. Micro-lubricating is used to lubricate chains, lines and conveyor belts in industry.

Micro-pulverising in metalworking (MQL)

The operating principle of MOLYDAL micro-pulverising is dosing and dispatching the lubricant using a micro-pump in a coaxial hose, producing a concentrated, oil-loaded micro-mist at the nozzle outlet. A large number of nozzles are available to fit your requirements, for example: special cross-cutting, sawing or drilling nozzles. Micro-pumps are supplied by gravity or feeding and the lubricating frequencies are determined by a frequency generator. The primary objective of micro-pulverising is to lubricate sufficiently so as to avoid heat build-up during the operation and therefore heavy spraying with lubricants, which leave workstations and parts dirty.

MOLYDAL micro-pulverising is very common in all sorts of metalworking applications. It is either used for original equipment by machinery manufacturers, or for the re-equipment of existing machinery.
The advantages are considerable with MOLYDAL micro-pulverising. In the sawing industry, they keep the workstation clean and ensure long blade lifespan and high-quality cutting. The same goes for the other metalworking fields. Micro-pulverising is also common for stamping and profiling, to apply lubricants in specific areas where there are restrictions.

Micro-lubricating in the lubrication of chains, lines and slides

The operating principle of STEIDLE micro-lubricating is dosing and dispatching the lubricant using a micro-pump in a hose, which is itself inside another hose where air is sent to the nozzle outlet to break up the incoming oil, thus forming a concentrated, oil-loaded micro-mist. A large number of nozzles are available for attaching to the coaxial hose outlet for best meeting requirements. Micro-pumps are supplied by gravity or feeding and the lubricating frequencies are determined by a frequency generator.

The objective of micro-lubricating for chains, lines and slides is to keep them lubricated by supplying very small amounts of lubricant at short intervals. Lubrication is best done little and often, in order to maintain the lubricating film which prevents contact parts from wearing down.
STEIDLE micro-lubricating increases the lifespan of chains, lines and slides and cuts maintenance costs.
