Certain MOLYDAL eco-responsible products are USDA BioPreferred® certified.

The labelling of USDA BioPreferred® certified bio-products enables consumers to identify and compare biosourced products*.

What is a USDA certified product?
It is a product with biosourced* content that has been verified by a third party, and that has obtained the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) certification and approval.

The USDA BioPreferred® Program has established minimum standards for biosourced content in various product categories. To be certified, the product must reach or exceed the minimum percentage of content of biosourced origin in the given category.

The certified product is then authorised to display the "USDA Certified Biobased Product" logo giving the percentage of biosourced contained in the product. A list of product categories and their biosourced contents is available here.

Thus, on the label, the figure indicates the % of USDA certified biosourced content in the active product. The percentage of biosourced content refers to the ratio between carbon from renewable sources and total carbon in a product.

By choosing a "USDA Certified Biobased Product", the consumer has a guarantee on the accuracy of the percentage of biosourced raw materials shown on the label. Further information
