In Europe, the certification of industrial lubricants in food environments is not subject to regulations. Because of this, food product manufacturers turn to American legislation to control their production. 

The American organisation N.S.F. international (National Sanitation Foundation) has therefore launched a programme on the regulation of non-food components. 

A product is certified when it has met these three criteria: certification number, category code and NSF standard on its packaging. 

Our products are certified in accordance with the following 4 categories:
 

• K1 for solvent-based cleaners - Products for untreated areas
• A1 for general cleaners
• H1 for general accidental contact lubricants
• 3H for lubricants in direct contact

A European body for food certification has recently been created and some MOLYDAL products have been certified by 2probity.
